TIPS & INFORMATION
DO NOT BURN!
To avoid burning, follow tanning times recommended by technicians. If you notice any rosiness, tenderness, or tightness on your skin do not come until symptoms go away and decrease your time for next session.
PROTECTIVE GOGGLES
Always wear UV protective goggles otherwise you are at risk of permanent and severe eye damage. Closing your eyes, wearing sunglasses, or using a towel will not block UV rays.
PRE-TAN SHOWER/EXFOLIATE
By removing dead skin cells, you increase the longevity of your tan. Try to avoid showering after tanning because the tanning process continues for up to 8 hours after your session.
INDOOR TANNING LOTION
Using a high quality indoor tanning lotion not only makes your skin softer and smoother, it also increases your tan from 40% to 70%. The more hydrated your skin is, the easier it is for your skin to absorb UV rays and the longer your tan will last. Please do not use products in our beds that do not specify indoor tanning use.
ELIMINATE TAN LINES
In order to tan, our skin needs oxygen but lay down beds create pressure points; you might find that you are not tanning evenly. To eliminate tan lines, we recommend shifting your body position every couple of minutes. No need to flip over.
MODERATION
It is important to let your skin heal. A great schedule to follow would be to tan every other day or two days on/one day off. Do not tan four consecutive days and try to allow 24 hours between tanning sessions.
TAN EXTENDERS
After showering and exfoliating, it is important to use a tan extending moisturizer to re-hydrate your skin. Ingredients such as Alcohol, Petroleum, and Mineral Oil will slow your tanning process. Extenders are full of vitamins and minerals for tanned skin.
MAINTENANCE
Once you have reached your desired colour, maintaining is easy. Simply tan 1-3 times per week using an indoor tanning lotion to hold on to your colour.
